At MertonPlus, we believe Pride is more than a celebration—it's a reflection of who we are, how we support one another, and the kind of community we’re building together.

We are proud to be organising Merton’s first-ever Pride on Saturday 30th August 2025—an incredible milestone for our borough. But our commitment doesn’t begin or end with this event. It’s a year-round dedication to inclusion, visibility, and community care.

What We Believe In:

• Respect, Safety & Belonging: We support the dignity and well-being of every LGBTQ+ person, embracing all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.
• Inclusion for All: We are especially committed to ensuring our local spaces are welcoming and accessible for trans and non-binary people. Visibility, representation, and safety are essential to true inclusion.
• The Power of Communities: We believe real change begins with connection. When people come together with shared purpose, communities become stronger, kinder, and more resilient.
• Supportive Conversations: Pride lives in everyday moments—in listening, learning, and standing alongside one another. Change is nurtured through empathy, openness, and mutual respect.
• Pride Every Day: While Pride events are important markers of joy and progress, we also recognise that Pride is a lived experience—something expressed through daily acts of courage, compassion, and solidarity.
