Merton Plus
Purpose
To help create a welcome environment for all the LGBTQIA+ community of Merton and to ensure that it is a place where our community are happy to live, work and spend time.
To provide support, signposting, and information for the LGBTQIA+ community.
To working together with the Merton Council, MET Police, and relevant agencies such as Age UK, Merton Connected and Health Watch to support our community.
Objectives
Merton Plus aims to create a voice and platform for LGBTQIA+ people in Merton to engage with the local authorities and other governing bodies and agencies on matters of concern, and interest.
For these local authorities and relevant agencies to work in partnership with all the LGBTQIA+ community to challenge discrimination and to positively promote equality in service provision.
To increase community awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues and to encourage good relations between LGBTQIA+ people and others within the community.
To work alongside local companies and schools to provide support and give advice on matter that raise concern such as bullying in the workplace and schools.

Merton Plus has a mailing which is free to join and is your way of finding out more about what is going on with our team, our current and future projects, other boroughs events and is our simply way of membership.
This is open to all LGBTQ+ people and allies of all ages who live, work or spend time in Merton and its surrounding wards such as Mitcham, Morden, Wimbledon, Colliers Wood North Cheam, and Pollards Hill.
We encourage representatives from the local authorities and other relevant agencies will also be welcome to sign up for this too.

Your details will be held on our database for the duration of your membership with us or until you request for your data to be removed.
